Well.  I have to admit I am a little dissapointed.  After a shameless bit of self-promotion in which I e-mailed a note of introduction to some very popular bloggers asking them to take a look at my post on Head Start, I have received no replies and, in fact, a decrease in traffic.  The only reason that I had the nerve to do so is that no one else [at least none of the 3 dozen or so folks I read regularly] seems to be writing about this and I think it is important.

Well, I remain undaunted.  And purposefully unembarassed by my continued obscurity.  I will be off-line for most of the day but when I return I will be writing more about poverty and children and how we can responsibly address it both here and abroad.
