I am currently reading 'Webs of Power' by Starhawk. I'm finding it motivating and inspiring.
Basically, this book is a collecton of short stories written by a grandmother and long time activist. The time frame spans a couple of years, mainly focussing on the 5 years surrounding the 'Battle for Seatlle ' and the growth of the civil society movement after that.
