The Virtual Supper Club Originally inspired by a week in Normandy, France, On Rue Tatin, with chef and cookbook author Susan Herrmann Loomis, The Virtual Supper Club started as a way for those of us who cooked together in France to continue cooking together once we returned to the United States. Today, The Virtual Supper Club is a forum for any person of any skill level who is passionate about food and wine, and wants to experience the joy of cooking with and for others. Menus are posted each month which are yours to cook from and experiment with. You can post comments and share the experiences of your kitchen and the stories of who gathered at your table. How to participate. Each month a new menu is posted, together with recipes or suggestions for presentation and a wine selection. To participate, simply select any part or all of the menu and prepare it anytime during that month. Once youre done, you are encouraged to post your comments ranging from the menu what you liked, what course(s) you changed; the recipe(s) how you changed or improved upon it; and, of course, the stories from your kitchen and around your table. Menus are inspired and selected from just about anything that captures a theme appropriate to the month. They are meant to introduce new techniques or different approaches to food you may already be preparing. They will introduce you to cookbooks you may want to add to your collection or a chef's culinary style. But, they are always selected to include recipes that range from the easiest of preparations to those that will challenge and encourage anyone to expand their culinary repertoire. You can check this site for other club comments, as well as for other recipes or menu ideas from my kitchen in Central Pennsylvania. At the end of each month, a review will be posted containing the best information and anecdotes from the comments you posted. Welcome to what I hope will become the world's largest supper table. Bon Appetit! DISCLAIMER: There's a Chef in My Kitchen and The Virtual Supper Club are offered for entertainment purposes only. Participation is voluntary and any person who cooks from, uses or shares the recipes or consumes the result(s) of any recipe posted accepts all responsibility and liability associated with choosing to participate, including but not limited to purchasing, preparing, serving and consuming the food.
