More Blood Work
I decided to follow up on the hematologist’s advice to locate a family doctor so that my cholesterol level could be tracked. This morning I went for blood work and the readings will be available in 3 or 4 weeks. The reason for my decision is pretty simple. With two doctors wanting blood work done I can schedule that blood work so that I can have a regular read on my white blood cell count. I will be better able to chart the effectiveness of my Alternative Cancer Therapies.
Walking for Weight Loss
The weather was nice yesterday. Around here that means it wasn’t storming. I walked for 30 minutes in the morning and again for 30 minutes in the afternoon. Today I walked for 20 minutes this afternoon. I have lost 9 pounds since beginning the Budwig diet on February 22. That is due to cutting out carbonated beverages and my evening snack of raw onion and bread with lots of butter. I figure 4 of those must be 800 calories and another 100 for a glass of pop. That would be 30 times 900 equals 27,000 calories. At 3500 calories per pound that little evening snack accounts for almost 8 pounds. I need to get into some regular walking for even more weight loss.
The walking should improve my fitness level and also get me ready for the golf season which, in theory, begins May 1. Here’s hoping the weather cooperates.
