Leukemia in Teenagers
I was checking out a site that had a section labeled Research needed into rising teen cancer rate "... and lifestyle changes, particularly increased sun exposure, may also play a part. Rates of melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer, have almost doubled over 21 years in the 20-24 age group in Britain and it now accounts for one in 10 of all cancers.”
Increased sun exposure? What were kids doing prior to the time period mentioned? Were they all walking around under umbrellas? Lifestyle changes? Early exposure to viruses? Passive smoking? Kids are the toughest creatures on the face of the earth and suddenly now they are susceptible to a host of environmental changes. Phooey on that. This is typical of the kind of crap that results from research that is funded by the pharmaceuticals.
I say kids are coming down with cancer because their immune systems are not strong enough to defeat cancer when it appears. You may well ask, “Why not?” In my opinion our immune systems will look after any health problems just so long as we provide the proper ammunition. Now I’ll mention a dirty word to most of the conventional medical community. Nutrition is the word and we are lacking it.
It is ironic that in this land of plenty we could be lacking any essentials but it is true. Our food does not provide enough nutrients. Our farmland is pushed hard to produce bountiful crops but the soil is very depleted of essential and trace minerals. Check it out here. Check out the diet of many teens and you will find burgers and fries and other junk foods are staples. That is the environmental change that has to be addressed.
We need to eat produce that is grown in organic soil. Organic soil is fertilized with compost, which is decayed vegetable matter. Grow your own produce or buy it from an organic farmer. Eat plenty of seafood because the sea contains all the trace minerals. The other option is to supplement in order to obtain the minerals necessary to keep your immune system strong and healthy.
