Leukemia Status

Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Status to Date

A normal range of white blood cells  is from 4800 to 10,800 white blood cells per microliter of blood (micro = one millionth). My blood counts have been as follows:

14,800 ---- May -2003

14,900 ---- July - 2003

14,900 ---- August - 2003

19,800 ---- October - 2003

24,900 ---- December - 2003

21,000 ---- March 11 - 2004 -----  A decrease of 3900 = 15.7% (due to my using  essiac)

18,800 ---- April 15 - 2004   -----  A decrease of 2200 = 11.7% (due to Dr. Budwig Diet

Total % reduction from the high of 24,900 = 24.5%

21,000 ---- June 17 - 2004   ----- A slight increase but I am dealing with an infected eyetooth.

26,400 --- September 15 - 2004 ---Increased so I'm strictly observing the Dr. Budwig diet. See this post.

November 18, 2004 - I have suspended the Budwig diet and I am well into a 42-day juice fast.  The fast includes a complete detoxification effort. See detoxification article here. The fast will end mid-December. I will immediately then have blood work done and should have the results December 17 or18, 2004.  Those results will be posted here.

17,000 --- December 16, 2004 --- A decrease of 9400 or 35.6%

Below are listed the steps I followed to achieve that decrease:

  1. Juice Fast ... 42 day Breuss Cancer Cure
  2. Coffee Enema ... daily
  3. Colon Cleansing ... Bentonite and psyllium seed husks daily
  4. Liver Flush ... every second week

37,000 --- March, 2005

55,000 --- June, 2005

45,000 --- August, 2005

41,400 --- October, 2005

35,000 --- December, 2005

33,000 --- February, 2006

Leukemia Stages

I am currently at Stage 0 of the disease. There are 5 different stages labeled from stage zero to stage four.

Because medical people love to use language that leaves the unwashed masses in a state of total confusion, I have translated the techno-gook into plain English so that there will be no brain hernias.

Stage 0 – excessive white blood cells – no symptoms

Stage 1 – excessive white blood cells -  enlarged lymph nodes

Stage 2 – excessive white blood cells – enlarged spleen or liver or both

Stage 3 – stage 0, 1, or 2 plus anemia (low red blood cells)

Stage 4 – stage 0, 1, or 2 plus low platelets (platelets help the blood to form clots)

Summary

A summary of my disease (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia or Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia) , as I understand it, is my body is producing some abnormal white blood cells that do not die when expected. These longer-lived cells accumulate in my body and eventually will cause a problem because of excessive numbers. If the counts get to the 100,000 range I could experience symptoms. I have to find a treatment that will destroy these excessive and abnormal cells.

Obviously, the success indicator of a treatment will be a reduction of the previous white blood cell count. A cure indicator will be a reduction back to the range considered to be normal. My plan is to have a blood count done every 2 months. I will be recording the duration of various treatments and corelating them with the results of blood counts. Most times there will be a two month lag between treatments and blood work.

In April, 2004 I will be 65 years old. I am 6 ft. tall and weigh 240 pounds. I quit a 50 year smoking habit last August and gained a ton of weight. I have lost 8 pounds since beginning (February 22) the Dr. Budwig diet which I will expand upon in a future post. My goal is to get to 190 and I hope to be there mid-summer. That would be nice because my chest would then move from my beltline up to where it should be. I work out on a home-gym every day and will begin daily walking when the weather clears a bit.
