Rookie Canoe Racers - 10 measurable ways to tell if you are one.

 

  1. You place top 3 in any division of any canoe race only when there are less than 3 canoes in that division.
  2. You know how to put torso power on the paddle by using your torso instead of just your arm muscles.
  3. Average canoe racers ask you to practice with them when they can’t get anyone else.
  4. Average canoe racers just ask you if you’re going to a canoe race.
  5. Average canoe racers know your first name.
  6. You keep a canoe going straight by switching sides instead of using a J paddle stroke.
  7. It takes more than 5 phone calls to get someone to race with you.
  8. Anyone says yes when you ask them to race with you.
  9. It takes less than 5 phone calls to get someone to practice canoe racing paddling with you.
  10. Anyone says yes when you ask them to practice canoe racing paddling with you.
