Kiss My Asthma
A labored exhalation of asthma news - from the basic to the bizarre.

About this site

Keeping up with asthma news can be a little overwhelming. Even just a quick search on Google News shows dozens of new stories every week.

At this site, I'm trying to pay attention to pull out the most interesting news. Sometimes the news is more offbeat and obscure than absolutely essential, but it interests me as an asthma sufferer, so I hope it'll interest you too.

I was diagnosed with asthma about 25 years ago, when I was 12 years old. I think I had it a few years before that.

I'm not a doctor or reseacher, but I've read quite extensively about asthma, as well as conventional and alternative approaches to it.

Right now, my asthma is pretty well under control, but I went through a scary time a few years ago when my mild-to-moderate asthma gradually increase in severity. At its worst, I had trouble breathing after taking just a few steps. A combination of medicine and self-education helped me to recognize the worst triggers and do my best to eliminate them from my life.

By trade I am a freelance writer who has worked for a number of publications, both small and large.
