PodShow.com -

podcasting grows up

and breaks out...

OK - For those of us who think that podcasting is more than a web fad, it's time to put your money where your mouth is.  With the birth of MTV, one infamous record exec commented, "We just lost one of the last great things you can do with your eyes closed!" Well friends and disbelievers, while video may have killed the radio star, podcasting will give birth to something much bigger....For my part, I am convinced that we are on the edge of a growing demand that will change broadcast media as we know it... not kill it, just change it.

I've seen this happen to print, and I want to be a part of it again.  So here we are, PodShow.com.   A little ugly line of code that could.

Podcasting gives us the chance to dream again, to be inspired by a vision that words create... Look at the economic windfall created by enabling one individual to speak directly to another from anywhere at any time.  There is something else beyond this one-to-one communication.  Imagine the possibilities of a world in which eveyone can be a publisher. Forget cocooning. Its time to fly. Imagine authors, poets, musicians, travellers, parents, children, the obsessed, depressed, motivators, impersonators, experts and amatuers in the most arcane fields being able publish without the restriction of frequency or regulation.

If that's not a business opportunity, I don't know what is.  Don't blame the hype, revel in it.  At last , if you have something valuable to say, there's a way to say it.
