PowerBook External Video Card / Adapter product idea: I have a 12" powerbook and the built-in video is usually more than adequate for my needs, including playing World of Warcraft. What if there was an external box that had, say an GeForce 6600, attached to my external monitor. Of course I have a desktop that does this already but is this possible? The powerbook would have to run with the lid down. Would a firewire cable provide enough bandwidth for the video to process?
Who would purchase this? Anybody who solely uses a laptop for their primary business. Anybody who would like the ability to run multiple monitors on their laptop, and any gamer who plays on the laptop at friends houses (and starbucks) but wants more "oomph" at home. |
