The ScreamBody lets you vent silently. So, you’re busy at work, and you get a call
from the Client from Hell. The call goes on and on, with CFH making ridiculous demands and insisting that they be acted
upon right now. By the end of the call, you’re ready to scream as loud as you can, but you can’t. You’re at
work, and you don’t want to get your ass fired. So you suck it up, roll up your sleeves, and do CFH’s bidding. This
happens a few times, and the repressed anger starts to get you sick. You develop a nervous tic. You start grumbling
under your breath; talking to yourself. People start avoiding you. When the guys in the white coats come, you
practically thank them for taking you away. Wanna avoid this grim future? Check out the Screambody. Currently only a
prototype, it’s a “wearable body organ,” that lets you scream at full volume without being heard (it even records the
screams, in case you want to play them back later). You get the scream out of your system, and can get back to work.
Yeah, you still have to work. But at least you won’t drive yourself crazy from repressed anger.

(research and development) arm of Lucent Technologies in Murray Hill,
New Jersey, is attempting to bring them into the mainstream.
