Copyrights Keep TV Shows off DVD.
WKRP in Cincinnati rocked America's TV screens when it was on the air,
but it will probably never be released on DVD because of prohibitive
music-licensing fees. It's not alone.

Man Shot in Lobby of New York Radio Station "Hot 97".
"A man was shot in the leg Monday night in the lobby of a Manhattan
radio station while rapper 50 Cent was making an appearance there,
police said. It wasn't immediately known how badly the man was injured.

Senator Wants Indecency Standards to Apply to Satellite Radio.
FMQB.com reports: "Alaska Republican Senator Ted Stevens plans on
pushing to have decency standards applicable to subscription radio [XM,
SIRIUS] and television and is planning to address the matter through
the legislative process."

Wireless Companies Turn Their Eyes To TV
There's a major push under way to bring more TV content and video to
wireless devices. Asia's big consumer electronics firms, as well as
Europe's Nokia and U.S.-based Qualcomm , have jumped into the fray.
They're supporting a number of different standards for beaming digital
TV to mobile devices.

XM Satellite Radio Lifts Monthly Fee by 30 Pct XM Satellite Radio on Monday said it
would raise the monthly fee for its nationwide radio service by
about 30 percent in April and would add some premium features
to its basic plan, putting it on par with smaller rival Sirius
Satellite Radio .
