Berlind's Media Transparency Channel
If you're looking for my podcasts, please read What to do if you're looking for my series of podcasts on IT Matters. Otherwise, read on.

This blog is now a part of my experiment in media transparency. The premise is that if the media can broadcast polished edited content through one channel like ZDNet, then why can't it also broadcast a parallel channel that's full of the raw materials (thus, this "channel"). For a much more detailed explanation, be sure to check out the following:In case you're interested, maintaining a simplistic transparency channel like this one has so far involved a significant amount of heavy lifting. The core technology may exist, but it's my opinion that a decent UI for publishing a transparency channel does not. So, one outgrowth of this experiment might be a complete specification for such a system -- Something I call JOTS.

Subject: Phone update with VMware? re: Intel ahead of schedule? Say it ain't so!

Hi David,

Saw your blog from last week on Vanderpool/Silverdale and virtualization, and wondered if you might be interested in a refresher chat with VMware—I know it’s been a while since you last spoke with anyone from VMware, and the market is heating up.  VMware has some insight into the coming year—what is ahead for virtualization, and how they are going to bring virtualization to every CPU in the enterprise, from desktop to data center…

It also might be interesting to go over some of the recent developments for VMware, including VMware ACE, which we just announced availability earlier this month.  Not sure if you saw the releases, but VMware ACE is a wholly new type of desktop virtualization product for ensuring secure and standard desktops across the enterprise—very topical in the current climate of consultants, remote workers, and offshoring.

Let me know if I can put you in contact with VMware---  if you even have a day or two this week or next which you would prefer, let me know and I can see try to coordinate from this end.

Best,

Jessica Beyers
