SPREAD THE WORD...it can be done!!
On AUGUST 8th 2008- 08/08/08 the world will be united through one of the world's biggest sporting attractions- THE OLYMPICS. This day is the opening ceremonies in Beijing, China. On this day THE STAGE IS SET for the world to stop for a moment and come together as one.
I invite you to join together with the rest of the world and try to create simply 8 minutes of WORLD PEACE on 08/08/08.
It may be a dream or a ridiculous fantasy to believe that something like this can happen. But I believe that we have to dare to dream and I know that the only way to make dreams come true is to follow your heart. If you truly believe that it is possible please join me.
The world needs action not just words. We need to start now.
On the eighth day of every month at 8:00 p.m. in your time zone wherever you are in the world stop for eight minutes and make peace with your friends, family, neigbors or anyone you can reach out to.
The hope would be that by 08/08/08 in Beijing that at 8:00 p.m. during the 2008 Olympic Games opening ceremonies the world can stop for eight minutes and embrace for a moment and there could be World Peace.
I challenge those at war to take eight minutes and stop the killing. I challenge those who want revenge to instead offer forgiveness. I challenge all to reach out to their neigbors, frirends, families and even complete strangers and try to bring peace to your corner of the world. We are all important and we are all a key piece of the puzzle.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR PART OF THE WORLD.
Lets bring the world together for a day of unity. 8 minutes that could change the world. A day where we forgive, a day where we respect each other, each culture, every creature on the planet....
I believe that the world is full of more good then evil. We just need more people to stand up and lead in a positive way.
