Hello, This morning I decided to do something I seldom do, watch TV.  Completely by accident I clicked on a documentary that had just begun. I have never seen a more moving piece of film, I mean it.  The subject was the work of Jim Natchwey.  Jim is famous for his work documenting the tragedy of wars,famine, human cruelty throughout the world.  I could not stop watching as this amazing human being risked his life bringing to anyone who will watch the truth of human tragedy, his work is art.  He has covered and photographed the ongoing and overlooked condition of people who live in conditions that are un-human beyond imagination, what you might invision as hell on earth.  And I am worried about making enough money to pay a house payment or take a vacation!!  The film is a life changing one, it's not easy to watch, you will probably cry if you have any empathy left in you.  You will as I did be comparing if that is possible, what you see in human suffering to your current situation, and you will feel guilty. How can we as fellow human beings stand by as these ongoing human sufferings continue.  I am sure Jim who I don't know personally wonders why aren't we paying more attention to the undescriable conditions of poor people all over the world. You won't see the truth on network television, in fact after watching this film you may feel as I do helpless and guilty.  Then imagine that our own government could care less, and if fact has helped cause much of this suffering as have all other countries.  We must do something to change our way of thinking and living. I was so moved that I cannot remember which channel I watched this documentary on.  I will find out and post it. Why our we as a country involved in war? look at the huge amounts of money being spent to increase human suffering, surely intelligent people can find a better answer.  Take a good look at how we live, look at what's important to us as indivuals. Most of us given the chance are ability would help, but were to busy!  I am no different what can I do?  Since most of us can't actually go to help these people we must demand that our governmnent and all the govenments in the world help these people know, stop spending untold amounts of money we don't have fighting wars for no good reason.  Think of the good we could do with our combined resources. Just imagine the wealth we have spent just on the Iraq campaign. Sorry for rambling, thanks for reading. Bill  oh here's a link to his site  http://www.jamesnachtwey.com ;
