An Uneasy System . The economy is slowing, the dollar is falling. Wall Street is laying off workers.
Defaults by homeowners are rising. Corporate buyouts have lost momentum.

Yet another Feedburner problem. I got an email last week from an Italian blogger who I met at the dinner in Milan in June saying that a feature of Feedburner that allows people to game the subscriber count for a blog is wreaking havoc in Italy. I took a look and found immediately that the conversation is entirely in Italian, a language that I (unfortunately) do not read.

http://www.sgtwalk.com/affiliate-internet-make-money-online-program.html So I asked my Italian host and friend, Paolo Valdemarin, to look into it, and he sent me a detailed email, in English, explaining. I asked him to post the email and he has done so. It's a very interesting situation and calls into question some of the huge Feedburner subscriber counts you see on various blogs.

The gist of the problem is that it's easy to add 2 million or 20 million subscribers to Feedburner's count for your feed. as Paolo explains.
Thanks Paolo for looking into this. It'll be interesting to see if a discussion develops in the U.S.

The Internet is a great tool and place for business! I’m sure you would agree otherwise you would not be interested to read this. When I first heard about doing business using the internet, I was very much excited. Understanding the potential of internet business is one thing, but knowing how to set up an internet business is a totally different ball game! I know because I’ve been though this. So what’s required to set up an internet business? I’m sure many of you out there are having the same question! It is hope that this article would give an insight of the internet business to those who are really keen to know but not sure who to ask. It does not deal into great details but attempts to show you the very basic approach. However, neither can I or this article guarantee you a successful business using the internet. The success of an individual depends on the actions taken by him.

First you will need to have access to the internet. It‘s recommended that you should register an account with your local internet service provider. It doesn’t matter whether you are using a dial-up or broadband system – as long as it does the job and allow you to surf the internet. What’s next? How about a website? Internet marketing may not necessary require setting up a website. However, I would recommend registering one as it would also enhance your credibility and sincerity in the eye of your “potential” customers. To set up a website, you’ll need to register a “Domain Name”, which in essence, is basically “your Company name”, eg. http://www.YourDomainName.com. Like all business, you’ll need an address where your “potential” customers could find you. For this you’ll need a web hosting company (basically a server) to “hold & display” your website. Anyway, at the least you should have an e-mail account. This usually comes with your internet account through your service provider or alternatively, you may register with any of the web based e-mail service available such as Hotmail or Gmail. etc.
